Action Alerts

These Action Alerts are broadcast via the LunchBreak E-newsletter, on the Center’s website homepage, and at times, through the mail.

Voter Education and Civic Engagement

The Pride Center issues Action Alerts concerning matters of importance to the LGBT community, including voter education, upcoming demonstrations, letters to the editor, calls to legislators and more. The Center also participates in candidate surveys, and often makes a stand on  ballot initiatives affecting our community. This information is also broadcast through our Action Alerts. Anti-Discrimination/Anti-Violence

Coalitions

The Pride Center actively joins and participates in various coalitions and forums to ensure accurate representation of the GLBT community in matters of civil and social equality and the health and well-being of our community. In addition, the Center is dedicated to partnering with other diverse and progressive communities in order to build alliances and strengthen our movement.

In addition, the Pride Center provides responses to any and all media inquiries, and can connect reporters with various contacts willing to speak with the press. The Center works to achieve civil and social equality by advocating for fair and inclusive polices and law. One of the Center’s greatest efforts continues to be passing a local nondiscrimination ordinance in Colorado Springs.
